Lessons Learned
-
Set up a suitable environment for voice-over work
-
Voice work needs good quality. So, I made a temporary home studio in my basement to create an environment where my Blue Yeti microphone could record my voice with little to no reverb.
-
-
Make sure the volume of said voice work is balanced.
-
In many of my voice work takes my producer gave me feedback that my sound quality had peaked many times. I noticed over time that I stood too close to the microphone during those sessions.
-
Therefore, it was essential to stand 15 inches from the microphone (based on the booth I was recording) while also using Audacity to keep the volume of the recordings balanced.

-
Make sure YouTube shorts last about 35-46 seconds
-
When uploading YouTube shorts, it is essential to know how long each short should last before the viewer swipes past it.
-
Our marketing team discovered that YouTube shorts should usually last 15-60 seconds, so we adapted accordingly and made our videos about 35-46 seconds.
